Are your plants made from real or artificial materials?
All Greengris products are artificial — meaning no soil, no watering, and no sunlight requirements. Depending on the item, our plants are crafted from materials like faux silk, plastic, or a combination of both to mimic the look and texture of real foliage. You'll find the specific material listed in each product's description, since it can vary from item to item.
Do I need to water or maintain them like real plants?
No watering needed. Since these are artificial plants, there's no soil, sunlight, or feeding required to keep them looking full and healthy. The only upkeep involved is occasional light cleaning to keep dust from building up on the leaves — see the cleaning question below for tips.
How do I clean my artificial plant?
For most items, a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster works well to gently remove surface dust. If your plant is dustier, you can use a damp cloth to wipe down the leaves. We'd recommend checking your specific product's care instructions first, since materials like faux silk may be more delicate than plastic or resin components.
Can I use these plants outdoors?
It depends on the specific item. Some of our products are labeled as UV-resistant and designed to withstand outdoor conditions with less fading from sun exposure, while others are intended for indoor use only. Always check the product title and description before placing an outdoor item outside, since not every plant in our catalog is built for prolonged sun or weather exposure.
Will the color fade over time?
Items marked as UV-resistant are treated to slow down fading from sunlight exposure, but no artificial material is completely immune to gradual color change over long periods, especially with constant direct sun. Items not labeled UV-resistant are best kept indoors or in shaded areas to preserve their color longer.
Do the plants come with a pot, planter, or basket?
This varies by product. Some items include a planter, ceramic pot, or basket as shown in the listing, while others are sold as stems or bundles without any container. Please check each product description carefully, as it will specify exactly what's included.
Are your products safe around pets and children?
Our artificial plants are decorative items and are not intended to be chewed on, ingested, or used as toys. As with any small decorative object, we'd recommend keeping them out of reach of pets and young children who may be inclined to put items in their mouths, and supervising accordingly.
How true to the photos will the item look in person?
We work to make our product photos as accurate as possible, but slight differences in color or shading can occur due to screen display settings and natural variation between manufacturing batches. Overall shape, size, and style will match what's shown, though minor natural variation is normal with artificial greenery, similar to how real plants vary leaf to leaf.
